Luke Cage has a message for everyone trying to burn, blast, or break him: “You wanna test me? Step up. I’m right here.”
And by “right here,” he means that he’s coming back this summer.
Netflix premiered a short teaser, mostly for the purpose of getting Luke Cage and Defenders fans everywhere to mark their calendars for the season 2 premiere. But also so that Luke Cage could get a bit meta and call out his haters.
What to expect next season, via the official synopsis:
After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.
